Anybody know whether they can be used alongside standard lock on grips?
Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

Yes but I wouldn't because the grip will be far too long
You need a grip shift compatible grip, lock on ones do exist0 -
Or just cut down some normal ones, you could do it with lock-ons, and just use one collar.0

I have smaller lock on grips for my X0 shifters - they are not specific to the SRAMs but are just fine1997 Gary Fisher Big Sur
2009 Scott Spark 60
2010 Ghost 5000
2011 Commencal Ramones AL1
2012 Commencal Meta AM10 -
You need the awesome ProPalm 687EP's!!
I have them on my Edison alongside X9 twist shifters - they're not cheap but are super trick and have lasted really well.
You can choose various lockring colours etc - have a look here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PROPALM-LOCK-grip ... 5d298890c90 -
yes they can but the shifters would be to far inboard.
there are some Grip shift specific ODIs and there are other lock on grips that only grip on one side."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

It would not work at all well - you'd need bars with a long straight untapered end section; you would have to move your hands too far inwards to change gears; and you could not reach your brake levers very easily . . :?
Best to get shorter lock-on grips, something like these

I've been using these for about two years - they're brilliant. My abundant supply of MTFU is reserved for use in dry, sunny conditions.0
