    susie

your link was for the small version

    http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4031/470 ... ee5d_s.jpg
    while the bigger version is
    http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4031/470 ... e6ee5d.jpg

    and when put between the
    [img][/img]

    tags you get

    4705852299_7460e6ee5d_s.jpg
    or
    4705852299_7460e6ee5d.jpg

    your add has been fixed

I'm also having trouble getting pics to display within a post - tried the putting URL between and, but no luck.
Placing the URL between and works okay - but I'd prefer to just show the pic in the post rather than take the reader to a page on my website.

Is there a specific format / syntax required for the URL, or are there restrictions on the domains that can be accessed?

    Thanks

have you read the How to in the FAQs?

    it is all there.

yes, thanks - have read it . . . done that, but it isn't working.

Maybe there is some problem with pulling the image from my domain & website (the URL is not a simple www.blah.com/image.jpg). It is set to allow the image to be downloaded, but I'll check it out a bit more tonight and see if I can make it work by moving the file to another folder with a simpler URL.

where have you hosted the image?

all you need to find in the image properties ending in .jpg or .gif or .anything and put that between the img tags and thats it.
