Fabian Cancellara (Saxo Bank) has just indicated to the television. He pointed to his Swiss national champion's jersey and then indicated 1-0. He's heard that Switzerland is leading Spain 1-0 at the world cup match in South Africa.

No news. ES "still waiting on the rider".
Nothing on the tcker which is in German. Worse than useless.

I notice the Shack come to the front and slow the tempo down at every potential attacking spot.
What's that all about, I wonder?

some sort of pseudo patron thing

Burghardt in the breakaway wins from Masskant as the peloton shuts down for the day

Are you suggesting they were punishing Cav, or was he not in the Peloton by then?

more to do with the weather

plus bringing it back for the sprint required HTC to do their thing..which they seemed unwilling to do

    uphill sprint

    cav in bad books

    cav probably aching all over

could add up from a multitude of factors to having a day off

cav did seem to spend the day trying to apologies to cervelo...he took out one of their star riders

    not going to be popular

I think when you are such a prolific winner as Cavendish is, you don't expect to be that popular anyway....

HTC saving themselves to help Martin tomorrow is my guess (plus a few of them are good friends with Burghardt).

A few injuries for Lowik and none for the spectators fortunately.

Pretty nightmare scenario to have your breaks malfunction.

The video here shows it very well:

Haha, it is actually both. I really like Dan Martin and want him to do very well, just as I do Sicard. He hasn't come that close to winning although he has put in good performances and shows.

The win is for Tony in Cali TT yet, although I like him, I probably don't like him enough for him to be on the sig. So I may remove the win and leave the name for Dan.

I see. If it was Dan I was going to ask what he had won this year as I don't remember him winning anything. I like him too, would like to see him get a big win, in fact I made a prediction to my girlfriend a year or so ago that he was going to be a big star of the future. My only concern is quite what sort of rider he wants to become, clearly he can climb but not sure if he's a fleche/lombardy type or alps/pyrenees type.
