My insomnia appears to be getting worse, managed about 2 hours last night. I find out if I've passed the year at uni today though. Should be fine, I'm fairly confident.

Well today i have Auditers in, normally i hate every min of this but today i will be watching the new boss squirm and wriggle as he's done NOTHING.

Bike money pot has run out for this month  but i keep looking at the bike and thinking theres not much left on it to change :!: only rear mech and BB left to lighten up.

Look for one of the old RaceFace Ti axled ones. If you're lucky, you'll be able to find a new one, though they've not been in production for a few years.

Cheers, i havent had a squared one in years!
Its either that or buying a H2 single ring version to replace the single ring truvative one but i think that might be a little excessive? see how bored i get i suppose?

    Morning all....

Looks llike tomorrow is my last day at current placement. 6 weeks to the day, although I will miss the money, I wont miss working with the fucktards there.

In other (job) related news, theres a potential full-time Team Leader role which my agency has put me forward for, if not I shall stay contracting, but if the latter, I wont have another placement until next Wednesday and thats only for a week.... (oh dear)

WAIH - good luck fella - I am sure that you'll be fine.... and yes, insomnia is a bitch - struggled with it myself a couple of years back, then one day It 'went' - strange...

Work is prep for our auditors who are here in three weeks :(. Audlem cycling club later for a swift 40 miles.

    Goooood Morning Freaks! 8)

Insomnia sucks. Suffered for many years with it. Currently been going through an 'okay' period though, but still only managing 5-6 hours unbroken sleep.

Meanwhile, it's a glorious day in South Wales today. Sun's shining, reasonably warm already, slight north-easterly wind, which was a headwind on the way in this morning and should be a nice tailwind on the way home.

Just need a coffee now and my morning's sorted.

    Morning all,

Off today, got the health visitor at 10am, then it's off to Toys R Us to try and get the little man some kind of mobile for his cot. Do you think they do bikes for 6 week old babies there?

Other than that, gonna mow the lawn, and do a spot of gardening. Fun times.

    Fixed that for ya.

    Morning all,

Little cloudy, slight chill in the air (just about right for riding), headwind (just about wrong for riding).

Currently supposed to be on a conference call with our Dutch counterparts, but me and the other guy here have decided on a unified “Bite Me” so aren’t bothering.

Still grumbling slightly, item I sold on Sunday night still hasn’t been paid for. I’ll wait until tonight and if I don’t have anything then I shall start harassing. How hard is it to click “Pay Now”? I want the money so I can start bargain hunting.

Got a fresh pack of biccy’s in the drawer, I wonder how long I can leave them there?

    Is it 5 yet?

Normally until they start talking to you. Biscuits are evil for this. "Eat me" "Eat me" they call in that sexy, aluring voice...

Hobnobs are the absolute worst for this.

I've had to stop getting hobnobs, because as you say they are the worst for this, plus when you do eat them they make a right mess of my desk. (I got moaned at for sticking the whole thing in my mouth in 1 go, so now have to take bites)

I've got my headphones plugged in so I can't hear them.

Eat me, eat me, eat me, eat me, eat me.....

A cyclist who died in a crash with a car in Essex was in training for a charity bike ride, his widow has said.

Insurance assessor Steven Rodway, of Brentwood, died in Ongar Road, Stapleford Tawney, on Sunday evening.

His wife Marrisa said he was a dearly loved husband and proud father to their two young daughters.

A woman, 20, and a 21-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

I'm deeply shocked as it so easily could of been me!
She's a lovely girl and has a beautiful family, no one deserves to lose their loved ones like this.

on a slightly different note i think a scond breakfast will be consumed shortly

    Gah!

There is a new bacon butty shop just opened over the road from my office. I now have to venture out there to try them out (they may be offended if I don't, and I couldn't live with that).

I hope they sell Irn Bru!

    Morning people,

Today, I shall mostly be staring at red jockey wheels sat on my desk, pretending to work and praying for hometime.. once home, build some more of the 456 up, and then off to see Jimmy Carr (one of his pre-tour gigs, to test jokes out etc.. just down the road from me!)

Oh, and so sorry for the loss Surfbum.. :(

Condolences to you and of course the family VW, terrible thing to happen. :(

I, like .blitz just want to ride my bike today. There's an (unused) MX track near me, that I can see, but can't get to. It's across 30 yards of chest high brambles from the nearest trail that I know of, I could potentially go through a field that I know is full of angry cows, but that's not good either. I'm going to go and have another recce tonight and hopefully make a breakthrough because I know it's possible to get there.
