Wheel Removal

A daft question I know but is there a definitive easy way to remove and re insert the rear wheel?

I have to take my wheels off to get my bike in the car and always struggle getting the rear wheel back in!!

    Before takng the wheel off shift your gears into the smallest sprocket rear, this will release some of the tension on the chain and rear durailer, undo QR, hold bottom of durailer cage with one hand and pull wheel up and towards the front of the bike with the other hand, rolling it away from the chain, this is how I do it with the bike up side down.
