any tips on a loose aheadset ?

forks are a bit loose wobble forward when you break - only a little but enough to be off putting. I have stripped out the forks and retightend everything but it seems to be even worse now :oops:

it only seems tight when I squeeze all the spacers and everything together and I try to tighten the expanding bolt when doing this but when I let goes there is still some play in it. (might need 3 hands !)

any tips or help would be appreciated

    Is there a gap between the top of the steerer and the top of the top spacer/stem? You need room to tighten down the top cap... The steerer needs to be around 2-3 mm below the top of then stem (or top spacer if you use one)
