Out of interest, how often do you guys true your wheels and how much do you let the wheel run out by before you decide to do it?
And do you do it on the bike or use a wheel true gizmo?

I take mine once a year for it to the LBS, if I need to do it myself then i borrow a jig to do it from a friend0

Unless its only a little out of true, always use a jig otherwise you might make your wheel worse than when you started.
I only true mine if it goes out by a few mm and i can notice it when riding, nothing less - no need to do it as part of a service so long as your spokes are tight. One top tip if you ever have to re-build or replace spokes - always grease the nipple. You'll be suprised how much easier it makes trueing when it comes to it months down the line!0 -
