It looks good stuff and apparently wont damage rubber seals.
Anyone else have any recs? Have seen Silkolene RG2 Pro, Castrol LM & my LBS recommended Coppaslip for threads?Orange 2010 P7 - Custom Build - My New Bikey Poos

I use it all overm, headset, bearings, hubs, BB threads etc.. no issues at all.
Its what my LBS (when I lived in Ramsgate) recommended me, and I have used it ever since!
Get the tub, lasts ages.0 -
It's similar to this http://www.bearingboys.co.uk/EP2-3KG_Gr ... p?shopping
I put it in pretty much everything and it's really good0 -
I take it its this stuff? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=980
It doesn't mention anything about not destroying rubber seals and the like, I assume its ok for these things?
Thanks for all your input so far peepsOrange 2010 P7 - Custom Build - My New Bikey Poos

I dont use it on my forks so cant comment on that one but I think its Lithium grease that should be avoided for forks...
I know its pricey but get the smaller tub - it will last for donkeys and its nice to work with and not messy at all.. unlike the weldtite red grease which is good, but is a bugger to clean up/get out of clothes....0 -

Thanks Master Cheese,
I was more thinking of my hubs as the end spacers have a rubber seal on them, but reading the gen on the F/L grease it seems like the stuff to get.
Thanks again all, I think I'm gonna try the Finish Line grease first and see how I go, whats the worst that can happen (cue Dr Pepper advert, £2.5k bike in pieces, destroyed, me crying next to it)Orange 2010 P7 - Custom Build - My New Bikey Poos

Another +1 for the finishline teflon grease. I got mine from halfords about a tenner.0
-
Also, get an old smallish brush for application. I use an old pastry brush LOL0
-
I use the Bike Hut teflon one.
It's purple.
Mmmmmm purple.0 -
I use the Weldtite TF2 red teflon grease that cheese was mentioning earlier on (the one in the green tube). He's right, it's a barsteward to get off, but surely, that's a good thing?
Oh, DMC, YGM0 -

Has anyone here had any experience with the Park Tools stuff?
A friend of mine recommended it to me and I find their tools pretty good quality - how about their grease?

This is anti-seize compound, i might be wrong but i think it's different to greases like teflon on lithium grease.0 -
Avoid lithium greases for static applications.
Thread compounds and copaslip are useful.
Teflon greases such as the Halfords and Finishline are excellent allrounders.
Though I use this:

It likes to bond surfaces togther. Dries out. Oh, and usually rots seals too, so don't put anywhere near a fork.0 -
