pannier racks for kids bikes

My son has a zerog 24, which I presume means 24 inch wheels. He really wants to be able to have a bag on the back of his bike. I have hunted around and see that it is possible to get pannier racks for 24inch wheel bikes, but I have no idea whether his particular bike is amenable to a rack.
Does anyone have any ideas? His birthday is in 15 days and I'm running out of time!
Thanks

looking at the Zero G online, it looks like it has holes to screw the bottom of the rack in just above the wheel skewer but not at the top of the seat stays behind the seat.

Not necessarily a problem, you can get P Clips which fasten around the seat stays and allow the rack to fix to them.

see http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/t ... ics-please for some pictures and recommendations.

For this type of rack you would need one with adjustable legs I think as it is a 24" wheel rather than 26"

Alternatively you could just get a rack which clamps round the seat post if the seat is high enough that there is enough seat post available to do so: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=28819

The issue with racks clamped to the seat post is that they are best for the bags that go on top rather than panniers that hang down the side as they would sway around.

    Hope that helps
