How do I tell which tyre size is suitable for my wheels?

Hi all
As the subject says, I need to replace my tyres on my commuter which has Alex RP15F rims. When I purchased the bike it has 700x28 but I want to run 25 or 23's. How can I tell if they will fit properly?

They should be fine. But generally you comapre the rim width to the tyre width - manufacturers often give guides what works best on their rims.
