No, I don't mean shaky, I mean jerky. Don't know if it's the vid itself, or pinkbike or what, but it's more like a collection of stills than a film.

You know that CCTV footage they show sometimes on telly, where it's a picture every second or something. Well it plays liks that.

CWNT I think that could be your computer, my mac at home doesn't like playing Pinkbike videos , and instead shows a slide show of the vid instead. Sucks ass.

Jay, It's not bad, but I'd redo it with a tripod to make it much more proffessional looking, also, include some of the actual sound if you can, I like films where the bike sounds are there, with the music over the top of it.

    /tuppence worth.
It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

Im afraid it dosent make me want to watch the full film.

I think if the filming was done using smooth panning and a higher def camera it wud be a lot better

Just watched it again and it seems fine this time. Must have been my connection making it run slow before.

thekickingmule and tomatoevousparlour are right though. If you're going to make a movie of it, you'll need that tripod.

Have a watch of that one at Lee Quarry (in the general section) for some tips and ideas. That's one of the best videos I've seen in ages, and it wasn't even anything particularly gnarley. Just really well put together.

I must admit i wasn't expecting much when i opened the link. but i was pleasantly surprised.
Like thekickingmule said, i'd much prefer it with bike sounds underlying the music.

I believe this is the video CWNT was on about:

Not bad. I'm impressed with the picture quality, makes a change to see something NOT shot on a mobile phone or some crappy bullet-cam.

    Needsabettername/10 :D

However, the quality is very impressive, especialy when you consider how horrible videos normally look when compressed by pinkbike/youtube etc.

+ potato to everything above, tripods will stop the wobble and adding natural sound will make it feel a lot better made.

    Good effort.

thank you as well. i'm trying to think of a name for it as i will also have footage from other places too
  • For the full film, try and include some on bike footage, or the bike running up to and past a stationary camera too!
