Can anyone help, I have no experiance with Hydraulic brakes, however i have a set of Juicy 5 brakes that are a couple of years old, the front has turned into a sponge.....i took the caliper off and looked at the pads, one iz low the other not so much, i pulled the lever and only one piston moved, there is a white/grey dry scale in and around the caliper and pistons, would this mean it is seized, would this be the reason for poor operation....any advise would be welcome...regards..xt

They need a service and a bleed. You need to try and free up the sticky piston.

I think the method is in the FAQ under disc brake noises.

Thanks for the info, i quick checked as per your advice, however i found no mention to my specific braking problem........i was hoping to do the work myself as my pockets seem to rattle less these days, but want to be sure what the problem is prior to an attempt to fix., don't wanna buy things i don't need....regards

    strip clean and bleed.
