I'm off to afan in a couple of week and i'm thinking about taking my on one pompino cyclocross bike as well as my mtb.
Does anyone think it is posible to ride such a bike on these trails?
I have riden loads of woodland trails on it with no problems but not sure how I will fair on the rocks.
Also if I do use it i'm not sure which trail to ride, I want to do the smoothest one really.
any thoughts?

I know I wouldn't like to lol. More risk of damaging the wheels over the rocks, narrow bars may compromise handling through them and bunny hopping and manuals will be nigh on impossible. Smooth I agree, can work very well, but throw obstacles in and you need to be very skilled to get the best out of it.0

I can bunny hop it about a foot high but as its a fixed gear i have to have the pedals in the right place to do it so its not idea.
I think i'm gonna give it a go0 -
That's what used to get me - the landing lol. If didn't start pedaling straight away, straight over the bars lol.0

I wouldn't attempt white's on a fixe, far to many rocks on the climb and obstacles. Really only leaves you with the Wall (Penhydds closed and Skyline shares the same ascent as White's). At least a good chunk of the climb is fireroad. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result0 -
oh god, please get someone to video you doing this.0

Took the U23's to Cwmcarn once.
I was on a Ti Mtb, XT, with original Sids.
One rider used a Cyclocross bike and handled everything, and he was a Junior!
Rider was Dale Appleby, currently kicking butt in the Nat. road race series.0 -

Putting the outer foot down when cornering, especially on berms is interesting too lol.0
