SPD Pedals - HELP!

Hi,
Just bought myself some Northwave Evolution road shoes with SPD cleats in them. The problem is i do mountain biking and have the mtb cleats on the pedals not the road ones. Is there anyway I can get some sort of adapter so they will fit on the mtb pedals???? If not and if i have to buy some road pedals is there any difference with running road pedals on a mountain bike???

Any help would be much appreciated

    I assume you mean the shoes have SPD-SL cleats on them? (wide plastic ones?)

    If so, you can just replace them with SPD cleats. The bolt positions are the same if I remember correctly....
