    In my opinion the mudguards spoil what could be a very nice looking bike.

    I use the bike every day as my daily commute - hence the road tyres - but at the weekend I swap the tyres for off road as soon as I can!

    I take your point about the mudguards - I resisted for a long time before fitting them. However, in pouring rain, once you've used them you wonder why you never have before! I agree they do spoil the look of the bike, and it is a pain to take them off and put them back on so I only do that occasionally.
