Probably a stupid question?!? but I want to try wider bars before I commit to buying, Can I ride with Lock on Grips overhanging bar ends by 20mm?

Is this going to be dongerous?
Thanks
Paul :?

Depends on how stiff they are 10 mm would be ok on most

Do any of your mates have wide bars?

Go for it, just don't do anything too exciting. Most people don't put a lot of load on the end of the bars anyway. Not clever to do anything big on them like this but it'll be fine for a pootle around.

I personally wouldn't try it for much more than round the carpark to see how it felt.

I'd say no, however several WC DH racers have their grip overhanging by about 10mm each side - but then again they can just stick some new ones on from their sponsors anytime they snap!
