Numptie confession...

Changed the wheels in my bike, prior to going out on it for the first time in two weeks...
Began spinning the cranks, whilst ramping it up the block to check indexing, but it wouldn't budge, the lever was solid!
Now this has seemed popular in 'Workshop' over the last couple of weeks, so I wonder what it could be...
It clicked down a gear (once), before I tried to make it go back up the block, so the little lever is ok.
It's well maintained, so must just be sticking through lack of recent use. Right, grab lever in one hand and the bars in the other (this will shift!...), commence forcing it across...
Loud 'pop' from the lever, as it appears to have dislocated itself at the hinge!
 Fcuk... It's SRAM  It's not supposed to move...
Fortunately, it 'popped' back no problem, and the inner lever, when pushed through the click, worked perfectly, too...
What a tw4t!

sram uses the little lever for both up and downshift. the brake lever is brake only unlike shimano. he forced the brake lever across trying to change gear with it when he should have been using the little lever. he broke the brake lever .

No, I didn't, it went back without problem.... Fortunately.
Serves me right, for using too many groupset manufacturers.
