Alternatively, free by slicing up an old inner tube and using cable ties ;)

Bought one last week from CRC :(
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Is it silly of me to not want one because all my kit is SRAM? :P

What does it protect the metal bar or the chain?

slice up an old inner tube and cable/zip tie it to the chain stay

mines been on since I've built this bike up .

you could always use sticky back plastic :D

Innertube looks pretty rank, which is pointless when you've just spent time and money trying to make your bike pretty :)

My chainstay on the HT is covered in helitape, but it makes some racket when i'm on the rough stuff!

    really good price
bought loads from DX in the past, usually pretty good but there are some poor quality and counterfeight items also.
i prefer this to the inner tube DIY version because its nicer to look at and easier to remove and wash seperately. trapped water and dirt left on a chain stay protector can cause more damage to paint work than a bike which is not equiped with one.

I quite like my inner tube chainstay protector

Done well, an inner tube looks nicer than a neoprene version IMO, particularly when the neoprene gets a bit tatty. That said, I'll use a neoprene all winter because it's easier to take off for cleaning, as mentioned- the inner tube tends to go on about now and not get removed 'til october or so.

Is a very good point, but i think a lot depends on the bike too. The inner tube method (if done carefully) looks pretty good on box shaped stays...

A good find and bargain at the price.

This is so cheap ass, pikey ghetto! Some of us don't mind spending more than a few quid on parts made to do the job.
I suggest you take your DIY grifter skills to Ebay and sell your used innertube warez to fund a new Powerlink for your chain to replace the hairpin keeping it joined..

Why? The man simply wants to get a good massage after a hard days riding.
