Problem with fox F32 RLC fork rebound

OK, so I foolishly took apart the RLC part of the fork and all the ball bearings fell out......nightmare! Although I have just refitted the new BB's that I have ordered although now I have another problem. The rebound is extremely slow.
I can compress the fork, but the rebound is slow and I can't seem to do anything to adjust / speed it up. I can only presume that something happened when I took apart the RLC part of the fork......but what! Any ideas, cause of this problem or a solution would be muchos appreciatos.

Is this wioth the correct amount of air in for the sag you want?0

Yes, 75 psi0

Sounds like you have not put back together right, damaged some seals, or used thicker oil in the rebuild.0

I did not change any oil or even take the thing apart really. All I took apart was the RLC bit but I have replaced it fully. I didn't take out the stanctions or anything. Literally just the bezels0

sounds like you haven't put the 3 tiny ball bearings back in correctly which means you can't adjust the low speed compression as the dial won't be engaging.
once you've put the 3 ballbearings back into the lockout dial, you should be able to seem them sitting in the holes around the outside edge - you need to be careful as if you have the hex grub screws wound out too far, the ball bearing can go in too far meaning it ends up on the wrong side of the grub screw when you wind it back in - if this happens it means the low compression and lockout dials won't seat properly and won't engage when you turn them.0 -
those bloody ball bearings!
On the fox website it says that the ball bearings should be sat along the INSIDE edge though.

my mistake - inside it is.0

will try that tommorrow then. there is also something else strange happening. the rebound adjuster knob just turns and turns. it doesnt reach the end. Is the tied in with the ball bearing problem? I guess something isnt engaging.0

The rebounds adjuster is on the bottom of the fork?
Sounds like you have forced it past its stop and bust it.0 -
No it's not on the bottom of the fork. It's the 'R' part of the RLC bezels on the top of the left stanchion. When I turn the rebound adjuster it is clicking ( as if going properly through the different settings) but it doesn't reach a stop point. will have to have a play around when i get home. I really don't think I have 'bust' anything because I havnt even mildly forced anything. Just tinkered like a nosey git.0

You need to get those bearings set up properly - until you do there is a possibility that none of the dials are set up/engaging correctly.0

Hi, did you ever solve this problem? I'm having the exact same issue and found this thread.
Thanks!0 -

Rebound knob turns (clicks) but doesn't stop and is not changing the rebound dampening. I took off the cap and blue lockout lever last night to replace the two ball bearings I had lost before. When I put it back together I noticed the issue.0
