Bought this frame nice and cheap advertised as a large. I wasnt actually looking for one but I couldnt turn it down and thought I could "Grow into it" (I'm only 5ft 10). Turns out the seller didnt have a clue and it was a small so I put it up for sale. It still hasnt sold so I decided to build it up.
Now the frame itself isnt massively smaller than my 18" Kona Kula. An inch in the seat post and about the same in the top tube. I've put an 80mm stem on so nothing odd there. I've rotated the Bonty Carbon Risers a little forward, the seat post is up an inch higher than it was on my Kona and I've put the seat back on the rails. Perhaps a bit to much tbh as I was a little stretched out. Been out this afternoon and to be fair, there is nothing wrong with the fit. I'm stetched out, my legs straighten at the lowest point on the pedals and it feels great. Maneuverable and nimble on its toes. Makes all this stuff about frame sizes seem quite irrelavent.
I think she looks great. I might even keep it

smashing looking, especially considering what you paid ( I saw the ad on ebay)...
Dusters are a great bike, I think you should keep it, maybe get a longer stem and straight bars & move the seat forward a bit??0 -

That's a nice looking bike. Well done, mate!Canyon XC 8.0 '11

Really tidy, good work. I saw in WMB a sneak peek at the 2011 duster and they've gone retro with purple paint and super skinny tubes. Nice bikes, tempted to get one in the future.0

Couple more bits added.
Some new (to me) wheels. Bit of a mix, but quality stuff. Front is a dt swiss hub and spokes on a dt swiss e540 rim and the rear is a dt swiss 4.1d rim and spokes on an xt hub.
Also took delivery of a Thomson layback seat post so everything fits bang on now and looks nice and I've got a brown Charge Spoon on the way.
Going to get a few shiny bits from Superstars. Anodised seat clamp and skewers. Dunno if I should stick with the blue to match the Superstar Grips that I took from my old bike or start again as I quite fancy some red bits
Any views ?

Looks really good mate, red looks better than the blue did imho. My mate has the superstar skewers, he prefers them to his old XT ones if that helps you!0

Lovely mate. Very smooth and easy to hold a line on. Feel very comfortable on it.shx8000 wrote:Looking good, assume you'll be looking for a little more than £100 now????
Well that was just for the frame
But i like building up new bikes so if and when i fancy something else then i'd not ask much more than 100...for the frame!
Wouldn't mind something that can take a longer fork but i really do like this bike.0 -
Hi m8, where did u get that bottle cage from on your charge and also can you get it in gold, just in the middle of pimping my bike up and would look good if i could get a gold one!.
