chain on the Boardman Pro Hybrid is listed as a Shimano HG-73

should I get the same or something else?

    get a sram, kmc or wippermann, they all have a link that can be released multiple times, so it's easy to take chain off for cleaning etc.

    have you measured the old chain? if it has gone too far you'll find a new chain skips under load on the cassette (so you'd need a new cassette too)

    haven't measured the chain but will do before putting the new one on
