Too tight, or not enough grease

My headset started creaking after about 6months or so. Take it apart and you'll be amazed how much crud gets in there. Re-greasing should do the trick. I replaced my caged bearing with loose ones. Also invest in a headset dirt protector.Only worth a couple of quid.
