I'm looking to buy a full suss bike for the missus. I've got a £2500 budget. She's quite tall at 5'10", so doesn't want a woman's frame. It must be 30lb and under in weight. Her riding is mostly XC but now and again, a bit of AM. She's got her eye on a cube fritz or the orange 5 at the moment. Any suggestions?

have a look at this, should fit her budget and needs just about right:

To be honest, and I continue to say this IMO in that it is personal preference, everyone will have a diferent opinion as to what is best as they own that brand. I would suggest you take her to one of the bigger stores to try a few out..the Orange 5 Diva is nice, but me and my girlfriend borth have marin Mout Visions...and to be honest we both love them to bits..like the Orange the MV has a Womans Fit Geometery frame...then again most of the new hydroformed frames have geometery similar to Womens specific bikes. There are loads to choose (take a look at the new Mondraker's) but I still say try a few out for comfort...and get her to choose what feels right
(The marin would be my choice though...lol..lifetime frame and bearing warranty)0 -
GT Force Sport. Mmm...

But as above, many, many good bikes for this money, it is worth testing some out.0 -
