I notice from the comic that Sky are fielding a team of 8 at the nationals. Would imagine they will be the ones to beat.

Whoever wins will obviously deserve it; I can't but hope that it is one of the protour boys who does win, so our national jersey gets seen on the bigger stage.

Should be a cracker. Meant to be the toughest course for a while.

And on the women's side you've got the Cervelo trio of Emma Pooley, Sharon Laws and Elizabeth Armistead trying to stop Nicole Cooke getting her tenth consecutive win.

I'm pretty sure that will happen, 3 against 1 and Cooke not in the best of form.

Shame it's not in my part of the world for a change this time although they didn't make the most of the route by taking them up the Tumble too early IMHO - straight back into Abergavenny from the top of the hill would have given an exciting race :D
