Whats it like?
I'm not sure wether to take my dad up there for his 1st "blast" out or not.... He's not really fit anymore and his bike "skill" is negligable, but he's dying + determined to get out on his Fury this weekend!
Really wanna spend some time with him, I just don't want him to overdo it straight away... he's an big old bloke and really is still recovering from his cancer treatment
Is it much hilly/long?
Can anyone suggest anywhere flatter/easier if its gonna be a bit much?

Gisburn blue isn't too bad, not too long, the early sections are pretty flat and easy (big section runs a long an old tramline), finishes nicely with the two techier bits of singletrack. Seen plenty of people rolling those through slowly. Just take your time. Feels like proper riding to.It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result0 -
yea i think thats what he wants to do... "proper riding"
Is it sign posted like the red? I can't remember lol!0 -
i took a beginner up there 2 weeks ago, he loved it, found it reasonably challenging but never difficult- its gret fun- especially the last 3rd.
I also take kids up there from school and they also find it really good fun and a good challenge.0
