Alrighty, we have a nice three day trip going to CYB in a couple of weeks. Got a basic plan, ride Climax on the morning of the first day (I have some issues with a certain rocky section on the final descent that need resolving!) and spend some time on a few of the best bits at cyb in the afternoon.
The second day will be spent tackling the beast, I don't anticipate having much energy left to do anything else afterwards!
On the third day we were planning on hitting Llandegla on the way home, which is where my main question comes in- how much time should we allow to do it justice? Is it tackled in an afternoon, in which case we might spend the morning revisiting bits of CYB, or should we allow a day?
Also, what would people recommend as the best bits of CYB to do on the first day (that aren't on the beast). I have a few of my own in mind, but am open to recommendations.

Just a suggestion, have you considered Nant y Arian seeing as though your not far from it with doing Cli-Max? I did Cli-Max first then a short drive down to the Summit trail at Nant y Arian which is a cracking trailVis Unita Fortior0

If I came back to CYB, I would go for 1st day Tarw-Lunch**-MBR. 2nd day=Dragons Back. 3rd day ... Penmachno. Climax sounds good fun too! What could have been (Video)
I'll choose not put too much stake into someone's opinion who is admittingly terrible though0 -
Should only need an afternoon for Llandegla - couple of hours easy (red / black and remember not to miss out the JJ jumps at the top by the bridge) if you have any spare time you can have a play in the skills area and pump track, then get a nice bite to eat before setting off home______________________________________________

We're already detouring south to get to climax, so nan-yr-arion may be a bit far.
I'm not personally a big fan of the tarw trail, but have to see what my mate thinks.
Penmacho then llandegla on the 3rd day sounds like it could be good fun though- are the llandegla facilities good then? It'd be nice to finish up clean and fed.Rock Lobster 853, Trek 1200 and a very old, tired and loved Apollo Javelin.0 -
Llandegla is great fun, but as has been said you could easily fit it in an afternoon.
Some sections are worth doing a few times though, I love the black descents just before "badger's rise", and always take a few runs down it, pushing it faster and faster each time.
Take a map of the centre with you, and you should be able to easily find the fireroads so you can loop back to certain sections you enjoyed.0 -
Yehh bout to say about llandeglla from my experience, the only truly great bits are the blacks. and there over a bit fast for me, but if you can loop round and blast a few times there really good fun!0
