Can you get one from Halfords? If so, the Carrera Fury or Boardman Sport.

don't think so, isn't halfords on the other cyclescheme, the place i'll be getting it from is a lbs near me which stocks the above bikes, may possibly put some of my own money towards it as it will be my mum taking out the scheme

2 things, 1st read this months MBR has a review of a dozen bikes under £600 i think it was and also What Mountain bike are doing the same deal. 2nd of all you should be able to get a bike from any shop possibly including Halfords if your on the cyclescheme. You need to get your mum to confirm this with the company that is managing the scheme. Then the world is your oyster!

    +1

IIRC the Voodoo Bantu came out joint first with a KHS ALite 2000.

Worth reading just for the bikes that got 5/10

I would look at KHS...you buy direct and they do cyclescheme and to be honest they do have a good spec for the money...they always get good reviews for value from MBUK and WMB Mags...http://www.khsbikes.co.uk/bikes if they let you top up by £80..take the Alite 3000 sub 26lb with Manitou Drakes. and a mix of X7/X9, Mavix 317 rims and Hayes Strokers...you be hard to match that spec with the other brands you have listed..
Tomac Synper 140 Giant XTC Alliance 1
If the world was flat, I wouldn't be riding !

Thanks for that ! The OP actually says `he doesn`t think so`, in my book that is not 100 % a NO ? Regards, Damian.
