Gonna join the chain guide gang and gonna get a stinger.

Thing is when i look on line there is two options an e type or standard type.

My bikes an 08 Pitch pro and has iscg old type mount and an e type mech.

So do I need the e type stinger or can I save the cash and just get an iscg type?

Finally are there any benfits to running an e type over the non e type if its ok to fit either?

Thanks in advance
Dan :?

the e type refers the type of BB fitting for the stinger , the mech's irrelevent.
looking to get one myself and was looking through the company's tech page the other nite and as far as i can tell ,
if your frame has iscg frame mounts , get the iscg stinger
if your frame has no iscg mounts and an internal type BB get the e type stinger.
of course if i've got this all wrong someone more knowledgable will come along and bitchslap me into next week.
    hope this helps anyway

i thought the 'e type' one was for mounting an e type mech?

    http://www.blackspire.com/qs/product/83/5947/320894/0/0

they do the e type with all three mountings (BB, ISCG, ISCG05)

also, the 'normal' one (non e type) comes in all three mountings.

if you look at the 2 different models, the only difference is the mech mounting point on the e type.

i guess if you've alreay got a mount for your e type mech, then you wont need to buy the e type stinger unless its a BB mounted mech hanger, then you might run into problems spacing it all out for the correct chainline.

    but i might be wrong

EDIT - ignore the last paragraph, i thought you needed a BB mounted stinger

i think the etype front mech will get in the way of the regular stinger so they have a version which allows you to remove the etype mech bracket and replace it with the stinger which has mounitngs for the mech.

Well I went ahead and ordered the standard version.

Hopefully it'll be here tommorrow so I can fit and see the results.
