Cycling the Highest Road in the WORLD @ 18,380 feet
Hi Folks,
I am Manasij Ganguli, an avid mountain biker from India.
I have been biking in the magnificent Himalayas for quite some time now.
In my quest to ride up to interesting places, I have cycled up to the highest road on planet Earth, the legendary KhardungLa pass which is at 18,380 feet!

BTW welcome to the forum0 -
A very entertaining blog.
It makes an afternoon up to Rivington look like a family ride in comparison!

hi and welcome
Did that road by bus back in 95 and it is a spectacular part of the world which would be great to bike on.
Having did quite a lot of trekking there are some great routes in Himachal Pradesh and further afield in the himalaya.
However is there any infrastructure for mountian biking developing there ie tour guides bike hire... proper mountain bikes rather than the ton weight tradtional Indian bikes?
Would be good to hear how things ar developing in India... what about other areas suc as the western ghats in Kerlala and tamil nadu?
Cheers
BryanEnough bikes to open a bike shop but always room for one more...0
