So, I hve returned to work after making a visit this morning and all this sitting around has lead to rather a lot of procrastination. I therefore began contemplating various things....and as such this thread was born.

So todays thought is brought to you after a trip to my local ASDA, I was hardly surprised to see loads of England football merchandise....but, it was the England garden gnome....yes you did read that right......that did it.

If we put up England flags for football its patriotic, if we do it for St George's day, it's racist....wtf??
And what is an England garden gnome......sexist becasue they only had male ones? Sizeist because they are all fat...and of course racist becasue he was supporting the cross of St George??? The mind boggles!

    I don't have a one track mind you know!!!

    I had a slight pnder this morning after a conversation with the guy who has now gone to Oz on facebook yesterday evening....but it has not been at the front of my mind, the gnome was plaguing my thoughts more bizzarely!

    Don't worry.... I almost went fisticuffs with some tosser builder guy (wearing hardhat and yellow hivis jacket) in his mid 30's because he told me I wasn't standing close enough to the guy being served at the till in Sainsbury's.

    I told him where to go which annoyed him and he started squaring up to me the little scrot :lol:

    I wanted to wear a cardiff blues shirt on the friday before the cardiff/blackpool game. I was told that I could.... but that I shouldn't. :lol:

    During the 2002 World Cup, one of the Welsh senior managers wiped his hands on the England Flag, that was hung in the office as a joke. He got dismissed for racism. :shock:

    Surely they need to be made out of glass to be in keeping wth the spirit of football? you can't smash and stab a guy in the face with pottery or plastic!

    It was in the Handsworth ASDA not the chap one, so check there if they're not in yours.

    If I look around the office I can see the following flags at people's desks: Wales, USA, Mexico, Cataluna, France, , Italy, South Africa, Brazil, China, Japan and the Jolly Roger (which would be on my desk). Yay for having a multi-cultural office. :D

    I have a Spanish flag becasue it is my team on the sweepstake, So only one England flag in the whole office. Just hoping spain = win of fifty quid for me......keep your fingers crossed!

    Oh no, I wasn't saying I hope you're joking about having a Spain flag, I was saying I hope you were joking about really thinking people are offended by the England flag.
