Hi Guys

About to buy a new bike and expensive to me at any rate

Id like to know how you guys protect your bikes from those who want to relieve us of them :x

Chain in sleeve ? Solid "D" locks ? Wire ?

I know a determined thief i.e angle grinder will get in if they get peice too but whats the best bit of kit to deter them ??

Cheers Fisherman Joe

As small a D lock as you can get away with, through rear wheel, frame and solid object, combined with a beefy chain and proper padlock round front wheel, downtube and solid object. Add on pitlock seatpost bolt and it's about as secure as you can hope for.

A banjo, shotgun and a mean hungry dog

It has been suggested that you should spend 10% of value of the bike on locks ect, also insurance in case it does get stolen...Sold Secure would be worth looking at as some pay out should the bike be stolen so I have read...
