Chain rubbing on front derailleur

After changing the bog standard FSA vero triple chainset on my defy 3(09) to a nice and blingy Shimano 105/5603 triple yesterday, i've noticed that the chain now rubs against the 'outer' part of the cage when on the 39 and 50 chainrings.
I've fiddled with the H & L trim screws with no success.
Any ideas/tips?

PS - I'm wondering if the triple spacer (that sits between the cup and the non drive crank) that came with the BB cups might be the culprit?

    so follow the guide on Park tools and set the mech up. as i feel they will have a different chain line.
