Am I the only one who tends to read everything in MBUK? I'm a mountain biker, not a pigeon-holed single-interest rider.
I enjoy reading about DH, XC, 4X, trials, dirt jumping, and freeride. I enjoy their race reports. I enjoy their gear reviews. Mint sauce, and the editorials.
I like the routes they offer.
i like reading about other people's routes, and they had a great series where they explored some famous rider's favourite haunts.

I don't buy any mag every single month, but I do buy MBUK more often than anything else, because I like reading about all aspects of our sport.

It's not often I buy any magazine, since most I like aren't available near me. I don't want to subscribe to anything since I like variation,

    Sound on sound
Computer music (not available in the computers and music section in my local supermarket.....)
    web designer
    photoshop creative...

not actually bought any MTB magazines yet. but will be adding one to my rotation (probably more often than any others since there are a couple available locally)

I can understand the opinion of trials, it has very little in common with other forms of biking. (from my newbie perspective) but dirt, xc and downhill seem to share quite a lot. maybe when you've been at it a while, found what you want to specialise in, you lose track of things which are shared?

either way, all 3 interest me. but maybe they could make another magazine for trials?

THIS. Films and mags let you see what other people are doing to advance the sport etc.

    Agreed
Rock Lobster 853, Trek 1200 and a very old, tired and loved Apollo Javelin.
