Double sided Gates hub from Fixie Inc

Before any of the terminology police jump on my back, I am using the most commonly recognised terms here.....

Has anyone seen, touched, bought, installed or otherwise have any experience of the Gates Carbon Drive flip flop fixed/freewheel hub that is mentioned on the Fixie Inc website?

I've got a Trek District that I lurve and want to at least try it in fixed format - Trek themselves are very unhelpful (although I know they have a fixed version in the pipeline) saying things like 'the belt is directional and so not suitable" Interesting then that the lobes on the belt are symetrical and there is no directionality printed on the belt..........
