Hello,

I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong spot, but around 10 days ago I bought an item off here from the classified section and paid directly, but the item is still undelivered. I write to the guy and he doesn't respond. Any advice please?

Thanks,
Kim

    Complain to Wiggle?

Sorry... I don't know what to advise if the seller isn't returning your PMs. Do you have their telephone number or address?

How did you pay? Could you cancel a cheque if it hasn't been cashed already?

Yes amaferanga, it's this guy, and he kept saying that he has delivered it first class on last Friday ie. in two weeks, and still nothing.

Why would I need to contact Wiggle about it? :?

It was a Paypal transaction, and that was literally five minutes after deciding to buy it and this what I get in return :?

I think paypal offers some level of buyer protection. Best to contact them and raise a dispute.

This may be a bit of a pointless post, but new a member, first post (and only ones to date) is to sell stuff. You have to be careful.

Doesn't alter the fact the person is a s*it though.

Great. Another link to Speed king's post lol :?

The guy had around 30 posts and I was pretty careful, but he provided pictures and seemed legit, and unfortunately that was my first buy off here and it was pretty bad. I think I will contact Paypal, but other than that, is there anything I can do besides that?

I know the amount isn't much but the fact that he keeps saying that he has sent it first class two weeks ago is actually awkward.

    Thanks,
    Kim

You could try also contacting the post office and giving them your address and asking if there have been any parcels attempted to be sent to you.

They might not give you any info due to customer protection / security or something like that but it's worth trying. It's always possible that they tried to deliver and some how the "I'm sorry we missed you" slip they leave behind has gotten misplaced. You never know, the stuff might be sat in the local sorting office.
  • It's quite common for stuff to end up at the sorting office, and often the 'we tried to deliver' card goes missing or the postie can't be bothered with it. If you take proof of address & ID they'll give you anything that's yours.

Ask for a refund - its not your problem if its gone missing in the post. He should have insurance anyway. His problem if he doesn't, not yours.

Does he have proof of postage? If he does have proof of postage then he can place a claim with Royal Mail (after so many days/weeks - not sure how many) who will then search for the parcel and if they can't find it will compensate him for it (could just be the price of a few stamps).

If you paid as paypal gift then I think you're screwed, but if it was a normal paypal transaction then you should be able to open a dispute.

    Oh god,

Yes it was a gift. I mean that's what most people do. The thing is, yes, when I was told that it was posted, I contacted around 10 post offices around my place and all said that there is no item for me, although I haven't received any card saying that an item has been left for me. I left Nottingham now and I'm going there in 3 month time that's when I start my University.

There's someone trading on eBay with that guys name but with the 1 missing off the end and he sells bike stuff, only one comment says what you say all the rest seem happy with him. Might be worth keeping an eye on it
