Gilets

I'm looking to buy some cycling gear and I was after a vest in the same material as normal cycle jerseys.

All I seem to be able to find are gilets? Am I right in thinking these aren't vests but windproof tops you put over cycling jerseys?

With the summer here I want a vest I can wear but not as overall.

Sports Direct if you have one on your town/city. I was in there yesterday and they have a large selection of gilets for running; it's the same materials and I bought one for 5.99! Seems different stores have different stuff/promotions so have a good mooch. Their cycling gear's not bad either, although there's not a massive choice.

Don't let the chavs, scallies and scroats put you off - when they realise they can't steal anything they soon leave.

Bear in mind that if you wear a vest you won't get cool tan lines that you can show off to your friends!

yeah was sunny hot, but a cold wind. Too hot for sleeved jersey, too cold for short jersey as felt cold wind on my chest. Gillet helped take away the cooling to my chest (arms weren't cold) Really need several types of clothes tbh,

cool jacker
windproof jacket
lycra shorts
tights
windrproof tights
lycra hat
windproof hat
mitts
summer long finger gloves
winter windproof gloves
