It's good to read Conrad's novella ''Heart of Darkness,'' which centres on the Congo rather than Viet Nam - it gives the film another perspective.0

There's a documentary about the making of it called 'Heart of Darkness' which is even better than the film. Surprised Dennis Hopper lived as long as he did considering the quantities of drugs he necked on the set.0
