Whitefield, Bury

Does anyone know anything about Whitefield near Bury? I'm in South Manc but have never heard of it. A guy at my local Evans mentioned it at the weekend as somewhere good for x-country

    Not a bad little run out. Forestry commission have built a number of trails along the national cycling route (6) over the Winter so there is a nice XC blast from Prestwich/Salford up to Radcliffe/Clifton Country Park and also up to Radcliffe, with some small trail routes and skills sections along the way to stop and have a blast.

    Check the link above and it tells you the different ways in. I live about a 1/4 mile away so is great for evening rides, especially at the moment.
