He reckons it's a Carrera because " it had Carrera stickers on it before and it says so on the headset."
I've asked why it's got a Specialized 'S' clearly visible on the headtube and if you look closely it says Specialized on the downtube. Also why would you bother taking the stickers/transfers off?
No response yet.

I could understand if he was pretending his Carrera was really a Specialized but the other way round doesn't make sense.0

looks like a bag of shite to me :shock:0

The dropouts don't look to be from any recent spesh or carrera. Funny thing is, if it was a earlier spesh or carrera, they would have been both made in the same factory as each other ie Merida.
Ask him fro the frame number.0 -
I find it a bit suspicious all his feedback is private...0

The tubing reminds me of a decathlon rockrider... doesn't look like any spesh or carrera i've ever seen.0

Looks like a pretty old frame, it's got canti boses on the rear triangle. Certainly doesn't look very specialised in appearence. looks like an old bike that someone has upgraded a lot over the years. Judging from the state of it I'd guess bearigs etc will be shot in hubs and BB.It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result0 -
probably an old carrera that hes stickered up as a Specialized, but removed stickers before the sale.0
