Stretchy bike shoe?

I was out for a few hours in the rain on Tuesday and when I put my bike shoes on on Thursday they had stretched widthways and the heel was loose. My socks are all the same thickness, so it seems the shoes have stretched. They are DHB R1s, not done more than 200 miles on them - has this happened to anyone else, or do I need to get on to Wiggle?
