Delamere Routes?

Its a glorious morning here in sunny Chester and my thoughts are already turning towards getting out on my bike this evening (only 8 more hours of work to get through). The trouble is that my preferred stomping ground in Wales is a bit far away for an evening ride so I thought I'd give Delamere Forest another go.

Does anyone know any good routes around Delamere that deviate from marked routes? Any help would be much appreciated.

    I've yet to put together a route to follow there, I just do the 7 miler twice, but the second time I mix it up loads with singletrack and (for some reason) near constant uphill rooty muddy sections.

    Fun though.

    I always seem to end up doing the 7 milers too. Lately I've branched out into the skills area to lengthen it a bit but its still too short.

    Thanks for the website, I'll study it.

    Any more suggestions, keep 'em coming.
