is pretty damn good with a Humax Foxsat box; BBC iPlayer is much better than a PC even on 32" screen, plus of course all of major radio channels in digi stereo - who needs DAB radio.

No Sky sport news either. Luckily, my TV has Freesat and Freeview.

Dave and Quest, two of the greatest channels on the box. I used to like Yesterday but their obsession with Hitler is getting somewhat tiresome. Been watching American Hotrod and American Chopper and finding myself getting really interested in learning that type of work. Come this September I'm going to see what college courses are available to learn welding/metalwork etc.

Just think, I could be building cycle frames! (wouldn't ride 'em though)

What is dave for other than to fill the spaces between comparison site adverts with ancient Top Gear episodes?

I think both channels will age and lose thier audience quickly, there are just too many old american repeats. The quirky Dave, and the adventure junkie Quest images soon become very irksome. A shame really as there ought to be room for a quality factual channel on the ever widening puddle of scum that is digital TV.

I love my freesat box. With an old second hand sky dish I can get proper telly 600 miles from the UK. The iPlayer spots I'm not in the UK, so won't work on the box or PC. Would like eurosport for the cycling though. Does anyone know if you can manually tune the Humax Foxsat box for eurosport?
  • Isn't eurosport encrypted, therefore requires a sky box with viewing card to receive it?
