took my old man out for another ride yesterday. parked up got the bikes out and were ready to set off when i heard the cry "oh b****x". took me 10 mins to stop laughing :P ( i need to get out more).

fortunately dad still rides with toe clips and straps so we could still put a few miles in.

I am trying to persuade him to contact sidi for a new pair - he's only had them for 25 years. maybe a bit of superglue will do the job

    25 years?!

    That's shoddy workmanship then.

What he needs is a new pair made with pride, love and devotion by a 9 year old Vietnamese boy. :(

Did he phone Wiggle to demand a replacement pair?

On the E-bay page they were S-Works shoes in a size nine but when he got there they were SIDI in a size eight, but that's okay they still fit and the seller said his mum only wore them once.

get a cobbler to look at them
  • i think the tight arse is considering trying to get it fixed cos " ther's plenty of life left in them"

i am trying to persuade him to use the brand new (or rather unused ) pair of addidas shoes which he has also had for about 20 years

unfortunately he thinks its the same as his wardrobe - if you keep em long enough they'll come back into fashion. - parents are so embarrasing

Consider yourself lucky by the fact he's not cycling in a crepe jacket with drainpipes and brothel-creepers.

    ...he isn't is he?

I'm so pleased that this hasn't died :D:D:D
