Decent trails in Milton Keynes?
Hi all
There is a good chance I'll be doing my PhD at Milton Keynes, and was wondering if anyone knew what the area is like for mountain biking? Does anyone know of any good trails, or places to go nearby? I have no idea what the countryside around MK is like (apart from it being filled with roundabouts!)
Cheers.

Woburn is fairly close and there are trails in the woods there. Might be an idea to try to find a local though as when we went we got pretty lost and didnt find much worth going back for. Sorry not to be of more help.http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7231/6933696372_603c9ce220_b.jpg

Yep, Woburn is the main area for riding. There's XC trails and a 'play area' with drops and jumps etc. You need a permit to ride there, but it's not expensive to purchase, but I don;t think most riders know this. Having said that, there appears to be some threat to the trails if you believe this thread over on STW. Other options include Chicksands and The Chilterns.0
