Cateye Micro wireless are very neat and you should be able to pick one up for around £25, despite the RRP being £40. It does not measure cadence, however, and it's something that I've never bothered with since I rely on my own judgement for that.

Due to my lack of patience I had to pop out today as couldn't wait a few days for a online one, had a look at the Cateye ones and also a Bontrager one, and much preferred the display and fitting to my front fork, really nice unit for £30 really recommend it.

    Have a look here http://www.bontrager.com/model/08796

As long as you're happy with it, is all that matters.
I'd say the Cateye's rocker action would be less fussy, but you got what you wanted.
Now, get out and ride...

I even fitted it outside the bike shop :D

Had a nice 10 mile ride home at a nice average 18.5MPH, its nice to have something to gauge my pace against now

Does the Bontrager one show the temperature? I figure this could be useful for commuting in winter.

I got the trip 5w too and tried fitting it today but not sure which way round to put the sensor or which fork to fit it to. Just wondered if you could tell me how you fitted yours, I'm probably just been daft!
    Cheers.

Battery to the out side sensor to the wheel ?

Speaking of battery, i have a cateye strada wireless and changed the battery in both the sensor and the unit today, it wipes everything when you take the old battery out.

I was just being daft! After contacting Trek/Bontrager sensor can be fitted either way up to front or rear of either fork. FInd it odd that the trip counter/trip time and avg speed can only be reset when computer is removed from its mount. Is this normal?

The Aldi one for £15 is pretty good value.

Stay away from Sigma wireless, bought two of them and wasted my money. They offer 5 year warranty, now I am kicking myself as I cant find the receipts.

I ended buying a wired Cateye Strada 8, number one reason is I got tired of buying batteries again and again for wirelss.
