    It happens. Weakness in the tube.

    Just check there's no sharp bits on the rim in that area, maybe put a bit of talc in the tyre to stop the tyre and tube sticking together and it'll be fine.

    do you think the thre pressure was too high?

    for safetys sake go 5psi below, gives you a bit of room for manouver with your weight, luggage et.c.
