Ive got a front juicy 3sl which i have managed to damage the allen bolt adjuster on. somehow the allen bolt head has split and disintegrated.

I have however just picked up a juicy 3 calliper and lever assembly for a tenner, will i be able to take the necessary part from the juicy 3 and fit it to the SL?

I assume the piston mechanism is removable?

yes. look at the exploded views on the Sram webby.

i guess you are on about the reach adjuster.

I've just read the manual and similar for the juicy 3 (assuming the SL is the same) and it states that i have to unscre the reach adjustment screw to disassemble.

I can't do this for obvious reasons so how would i be best trying to get the parts seperated, drill the rest of the bolt head off and twist the reach adjuster with pliars?

    Advise please

remove the pivot and then rotate the lever while holding the reach adjust screw with some long nose pliers.

No can do unfrotunately, the juicy 3 (or maybe its just the SL?) lever cant be rotated as the lever housing/body sits over it... i cant get any pictures of what i mean because the cameras dead as well :(

ten undo and swing out of the way to get to the C clip and remove that then it will come away.
