Creaking from shimano BB

When cyclling i have a noise coming from my cranks,have stripped & cleaned them & still have noise i am wondering if it may b coming from BB BEARINGS???

    Have you put bit of grease on the joining area?

    Have you checked the chainring bolts?
    Pedals tight?
    Is the noise there in every gear combination? Large and small chainring?
