situtation is this:

Recently taken out my 4th Cat Licence, as part of Central Region. Does the fact I am part of Central Region mean that I can do races in other regions? Might be a stupid question, but information isn't that forthcoming on BC website and find the 'national/regional C+' etc...categorisation of races a bit confusing.

Secondly, am considering joining up to the Surrey League, as they seem to run lots of good events. According to the info on their website it is possible to join up and race as an individual rather than as a club member (i do go out with a good group of guys at the weekends, but because of family reasons I sometimes prefer to head out at 7am and be back at midday rather than waiting for the 10am start time for club runs, making me reluctant to properly sign up to a club). Can anyone confirm whether this is true?

sorry for asking obvious questions, but figured was easier to ask it this way than going round the websites

You can race in other regions as well.

You can join Surrey League as a private individual.

You can race anywhere. Your region is for rankings.

You can enter races as a private member. However a number of the leagues require you to affiliate, being a member of a club often makes this cheaper. Surrey league is good - the goodwood races are a good place to learn as it's a pretty safe and non-technical course.
