Hayes 9's - Fitting to Orange 5.

Guys I'm nearly there now with the build of my 5 (after numerous technial posts on here!).
However I am at what I hope is my last stumbling block.
I have Hayes Nines brakes. The rear is currently a complete unit off the bike (as in lever / pipe / caliper) It's all bled but the trouble is I need to remove the pipe off the caaliper to thread it through the rear swingarm.
I can see that the pipe is screwed onto the caliper, but even if I unscrew this, it's too big to fit through the holes in the swingarm. What I think I need to do is somehow dissasemble at the caliper so I have ONLY the pipe. I should then be able to thread this through the swingarm and fit back together.
Does anyonw know how to take it all apart down to the pipe only anf then re fit?
Thanks,

un screw the hose from the lever assy. and thread that end through."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

You know the black bit that covers up the nut that I need to unscrew - does that just pull away from the lever?
It doesn't say in the manual and I don't want to damage anything.0 -
yes it is just rubber."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
